The Programmes of Study (PoS) from the National Curriculum (NC) are carefully planned out across the school in our Curriculum Overview documents. These ensure that all children are able to access their full entitlement.
From these, the skills and knowledge progression documents are used to plan units of work to ensure appropriate progression across year groups.
The Mid-Term Planning templates are used to plan progression throughout units of work using SOLO taxonomy. This is explained in the Curriculum Policy and 'Step-by-step Planning Guide'.
Enquiry questions, concepts and global learning are also woven through the plans.
Our curriculum design and planning systems allow for a robust progressive curriculum, whilst supporting meaningful and creative approaches to its implementation.
